IMAGE OF THE YEAR 2011

Thought it might be fun to feature with my Image of the Year. I have never taken time to focus on one single image that just says it all before.  I have shot so many frames this year and even worn out the shutter on my camera, but this is my pick of the bunch. Shot on Times Square in New York City. A little girl in awe by all the lights and skyscrapers, though still protected from it all in her buggy.

I am back on the cover of Decanter magazine, well at least my photo is. It’s good to be back.

I was crossing the river in my city today when light and view all came together. London is a beautiful place, sometimes…..

I had a feature in Grazia magazine again. Another great shoot. I love shooting for Grazia. They always give me really interesting features, and shooting lovely Ellie again was just a treat. She has been very unlucky with cancer, but is such a positive girl.

It was a real treat working on the Temenos Annual Report this year because I got to work in black & white again. There has always been something special about the monochromatic world and it has really inspired me to view the world in a different way. A big thanks go to Sanjay and the team at CKD for making my photos look awesome.

At Grants bottling plant in Glasgow.

Thought I would share some behind the scenes photos from my latest whisky shoot at the Girvan Distillery with the amazing Purple team. As you can see I spend most of the time shooting on my knees wearing a lovely orange. There was though also time for a wee one at a reservoir as the sun was setting over the hills (whilst shooting, of course)

On location in Scotland, catching the last sun rays reflecting off a river.

Locals

I spend a day photographing locals at a Fullers pub in Basingstoke. It’s was a wonderful day studying faces and listening to stories.
